Bătălia marelui Redan a fost o luptă majoră în timpul războiului din Crimeea, luptat între forțele britanice împotriva Rusiei, la 18 iunie și 8 septembrie 1855, ca parte a asediului Sevastopol. Armata franceză a luat cu succes Red. Malakoff, în timp ce un atac simultan britanic asupra marelui Redan la sudul Malakoff a fost respins. Comentatorii contemporani au sugerat că, deși Redan a devenit atât de important pentru victorieni, probabil că nu a fost vital pentru luarea Sevastopolului. Fortul de la Malakhov a fost mult mai important și a fost în sfera franceză de influență. Când francezii au luat cu asalt după un asediu de unsprezece luni că finala, atacul britanic asupra Redanului a devenit oarecum inutil.
