アレクサンダーが皇帝に即位
Moscow, Russia1796 年 11 月 16 日、キャサリンは朝早く起きていつものように朝の コーヒーを飲み、すぐに落ち着いて書類の仕事に取り掛かりました。彼女は女中のメイド、マリア・ペレクシキナに、久しぶりによく眠れたと話した。9時過ぎ、彼女は顔が紫色になり、脈拍が弱く、呼吸が浅く、苦しそうに床に倒れているのが発見された。彼女は翌日の午後9時45分頃に死亡した。エカチェリーナの息子ポールが王位を継承しました。彼は 1801 年に暗殺されるまで統治しました。アレクサンダー 1 世は 1801 年 3 月 23 日に王位を継承し、同年 9 月 15 日にクレムリンで戴冠式を行いました。
